What are quiet hours for UNT housing? ›

Sunday - Thursday: 10 pm –10 am. Friday and Saturday: midnight – noon.

UNT policy requires first year undergraduate students to live on campus.

$50 of the application payment is an application fee required to complete the application.

Spending weekday nights (Sunday through Thursday) in the residence hall and returning to the hall by a 2:00 AM curfew on those nights. Informing the Community Director before leaving town on weekends (Friday and Saturday), and returning to the hall by 10:00 PM on Sunday.

COOKING & HEATING APPLIANCES - Due to health and safety concerns and energy demands, sunlamps, halogen lamps, crock pots, toaster ovens, hot plates, space heaters, air fryers, and other appliances with exposed heating units are not permitted in the residence hall.

Students are not permitted to:

Produce or distribute alcohol except as expressly permitted by law and university policy. Drive while under the influence of alcohol or any other drug. Possess or use a controlled substance, marijuana, or a prescription drug in a manner prohibited.

You are guaranteed admission to UNT if you: Have a cumulative unweighted high school GPA of 3.0 or higher. Rank in the top 10% of your high school class. Rank in the next 15% and have a minimum 1030 SAT or 20 ACT.

Single occupancy rooms are most commonly available to only upperclassman in these residence halls: Legends Hall, Traditions Hall, Victory Hall. Each room comes with a bed (size twin-XL), desk, desk chair, freestanding dresser, and a closet.

There are several residential hall options at UNT, with multiple room types including shared and private rooms. Generally, the cost for on-campus housing at UNT ranges from around $5,500 to $7,500 per year, depending on the specific accommodation you choose.

Are UNT dorms coed? ›

UNT West Hall | Off-Campus Housing. [ Built in 1957 ] West Hall is one of UNT's “Economy Halls” that houses primarily freshmen students. This is a coed residence hall with men in north tower and women in south tower.

The residence halls close for the Spring 2024 semester at 5 PM on Friday, May 10, 2024. Students who are able to select their same room and list 5/11/2024 for their summer start date will not be required to move out between sessions.

Undergraduate Students

The average annual cost of attendance for a Texas resident living on campus and enrolled in 15 hours per semester is $27,937. For out-of-state students, the average annual cost of attendance is $40,537.

Qualifying applicants may request a fee waiver by submitting their application via ApplyTexas or the Common App.

In support of institutional goals of promoting education and personal welfare of students, all first-year college students are required to live in on-campus residence halls.

Students have a right to sleep and study in their residence halls. Therefore, disruptive or loud noise is prohibited. Minimum quiet hours are Sunday through Thursday, 11:00 p.m. to 10:00 a.m., and Friday and Saturday, midnight to 10:00 a.m. Modified Quiet Hours will be in place before and during finals.

Quiet hours are in effect seven days a week from 10:00pm until 7:00am. During this time, no noise from inside the apartment should be heard from outside the apartment.
